ZAGG Glass Elite iPad Pro 13" (M5)/ Pro 13" (M4) Screen Protector

I put this on my iPad because I was tired of looking at tiny scratches and finger smears every time I picked it up. A screen protector is one of those things you only notice when you do not have it, and for a tablet this expensive, I wanted something that would take the abuse instead of the glass on the device itself. This one feels like the kind of protector you buy when you actually plan to use the iPad every day, not just keep it pretty on a shelf.
What I like most is that it disappears once it is on. The screen still looks clear, touch response still feels natural, and I do not get that cheap plastic-film look that makes a good display seem dull. It has the feel of real glass, which matters more than people think when you are swiping, typing, and reading for long stretches. I also like that it does not seem to hold onto fingerprints the way some protectors do. Smudges are never gone completely, but this one stays cleaner than I expected, so I am not wiping it down every few minutes.
It is the kind of product that makes sense for anyone who carries an iPad around the house, tosses it in a bag, uses it for work, or lets it live on a desk where keys, pens, and chargers all end up nearby. If your tablet mostly stays in a case and never leaves the house, you might not feel the need as strongly. But if you use the screen constantly, especially with a lot of tapping and scrolling, it is a smart layer of protection that does its job without making the device feel clunky.
The install is the part that can make or break a screen protector, and this is the one area where I think people need to slow down and do it carefully. The package makes it clear that alignment matters, and I would agree with that. Once it is seated properly, it looks great, but getting there takes a little patience. That is not unusual, just worth saying. I would rather have a protector that needs a careful install than one that feels flimsy afterward, but I still wish that part were a little more forgiving for people who do not love fiddling with tiny alignment details.
I keep mine on an iPad that gets used for reading, casual browsing, and a fair amount of note-taking, so I care about both clarity and feel. A protector can be tough and still ruin the experience if it makes the screen feel sticky or cloudy. This one has not done that. It has stayed smooth, and that is probably the main reason I trust it. I do not want to think about the protector while I am using the tablet, and this one lets me forget it is there.
The price is higher than I would call casual, and I think that is the one thing that will give some people pause. I had the same reaction at first. But after living with lower-cost protectors that needed replacing sooner or never quite fit the way I wanted, I get why someone would pay more for one that feels finished. It is not an impulse buy. It is a buy for someone who wants to protect a large screen and not deal with the hassle again right away.
If you have a big iPad that you actually use, this is the sort of screen protector that makes sense. It keeps the display looking like a display, it adds a real layer of protection, and it does not get in the way once it is installed. That is pretty much what I want from this kind of accessory, and it does that part well.
